design is applied to virtually
all of my work and I rank good design second only to functionality
of anything I produce. Below are some examples of projects that
were based on design ideas and principals.
Badge Designs
I was contracted to design a series of badges for Wesfarmers Premier Coal that were to be given to long serving members of the Fire rescue Team.
The artwork was to be produced in both metal badges and in material patches - the size and placement of the text and the selection of colours had to reflect these needs.
CD Artwork
As part of the Edith Cowan
University CD-ROM developments I designed artwork to be
used on the CD covers and disc's.
The artwork was designed to match the content and imagery
found on the CD's. Some of the designs had to be done
with limitations such as a single coloured print or designed
to fit a stylized cover.
Business Cards
I was asked to design a
business card for KRS International. The Brief was to
have a design that had a 'international' look and feel
incorporating a 'globe motif'. Below is a selection of
the designs that were produced.
The chosen design (right) was then used to produce document
template with the corporate letterhead included.
